And thanks again for the case, stem and other parts and your help in the countless PMs!
Pic is from yeasterday. old dial is sanded down, hands are aged, plexi and o-rings are back in the case. i hope everything fits together now

what can go wrong goes wrong.... put together, and when setting time the hands mismatched... hour wheel is broken

i ordered a new one from italy, this takes 2 or 3 weeks... dammit...

for the moment with the unitas-ring, screws and a small piece of copper. I'll visit my old company this week to use the lathe. I will make a new, bettter fitting ring using the pocket watch case as you suggested.
