Marina Militare means Military Navy its not something you can register.Inside Italy yes you need the navy authorization like fashion items or watches being made not only with the name but Italian Navy logo.If you dont use the Italian Navy logo the world alone is generic. It reminds with a case files against an Italian Maker who made sunglasses under the label Sting by Sting the singer.
The courts said that sting is not something you can patent or register since its a common English world .Same happened with Ford with the Focus against the Focus Magazine and so on.
Regarding the case i thing only the crown guard is protected by Panearai because when the panerai family sold the company Richmond re-registered the patented .Rolex patend the osyster case long time ago so they are out of coverage, thast why so many legal clones.
Well you can reserve a case shape but you have to do before it hits the market and it wont last more then some years.I dont recall panerai registering any case with patents, also you will be surprised that many parts of watch designs dont belong to a firm but to the designer contracted to do the shape! Gerald Genta for example has most patends for all the nautilus wacthes for Patek etc.
In this case though i dont see any violation and dont understand how it stood in court, anyway big firms can afford to hire all $$$ lawfirms and due as the like but then again so was Ford and lost the Case!!

This is not infringing

But this is? Image
Funny how words mean different things in different countries, AWSKY pronounced means detest/hate in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

I like the case design a lot, but would change the dial.

The more I look at this lawsuit the more the feeling creeps over me that the Chinese government simply did a pawn sacrifice.

Anyway, I personally think this case set is pretty good size to mod a mini Egi for my wife! ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

I remember those. From the 80s 90s

Thanks for bringing this back.
Ooh... didn't know this was that old! Most probably vendome/Richmond hadn't got their copyright back then.

Camel watches were popular in the mid and late eighties, lots of sales here.I had a bronze like one back in 1987.
This one here even has the Greek flag on it!
There was an official Greek team racing with Landrovers back then the famous Camel trophy rally!
The company who made this watches was Italian ,dont recall the name but back then i never new Panerai ,execept some Opera singer with that name!!
So i probably saw it back then and didnt even now.Besides i wasnt interested so much back then,i only wanted a dive proof watch to wear all-day in the beach! My dad got me a Citizen back then with a seven year battery and seemed like space tech to me back in 1984!
