As I mentioned yesterday in the “what are you working on now?“ thread, I received the below Fielmann (a German eyewear company) presentation and/or storage glasses box (which isn’t for sale) incl. the glasses and wanted to convert it into a Panerai watch box.
Logo has been nearly removed. Only final finishing touches are needed.
A large PAM dial has been added. Dial bonding to be finalized.
Crown guard has been added but not finally fixed since I’m thinking about adding the crown…
Yes, the magnets shall be removed, too.
What do you think?
Any suggestions?

Man that is cool! I need to build one of those! You know, you could drill a hole where the crown goes, add a spring and make the crown pull the release button for the lid.

Good idea but this and all further upgrades have to wait for the next two weeks since I am on vacation.

Storage glasses box into a Panerai watch box conversion
Update: further adjustments to the Homemade Panerai box:
As I mentioned above I wanted to add the crown to the box…
Done
Now as you can see the crow guard isn’t even
Manpower and after two „very very long“ cappuccini ….
… the job was done
Next coming upgrade… I‘m going to remove the dial and add a Panerai plate (ordered from @zsirstudio).
Similar to that

Nice job
and very nice outdoor workshop
To flatten the crown guard,
I'm lazy, so I first try to bent it till the bottom sits flat.
With this wood color, a brass plate could be nice too.
And if you are to remove the magnet, you could also use a strap and buckle to close the box...
Just my 2cts.

Thanks
Regarding the magnet, yes will be the next step.
Regarding the strap + buckle, it did it on my previous Panerai box project.
