Which case will you use?
Main constraint with 6497 skeleton dials is the feet position: it will hardly let a 29.5mm window to see the movement...

Nice case, it seems to fit 0.4mm dials,
but dial window is approx 33.5mm only, and it's a plain caseback,
so may not be ideal to highlight a skeketon IMHO ...

Yep need caseback also… might have to go fizzz on this one!

What dial do you think would compliment this case?

Oh, I wasn’t trying to place a custom dial there 😊
I had other solutions in mind, but these won’t fit this case.

My personal taste about skeleton movement is “more is less”
I mean: I prefer to see the whole movement, naked.
Most existing 6497 skeleton dials are a visual pollution for me, hiding half the movement.
So if I have to design a dial, I opt for the most discrete ring as possible or just index bars, depending on the skeleton design curves.
Which movement will you use to match this bronze case?

There are 6497 movements out there that are skeletonized. I built this back in the day with one such movement. I then bought a Chinese skeleton dial and cut elements out of it to implement in my build. Try to find one of these movements. It was out of 1980s pocket watch.

The 6497 i think i will stick with atm- caseback may be tricky to find for sekeleton, ill see if anything fits this when i get it
