Supplier for parts

Post by bmsm »

Hi HF,

Long story short I have a 3646 mid case, a Silix screw down case back, movements, hands, dial, buckles and some leather. To complete the build just need bezel, plexi, crown tube and crown.

For the crown and tube I’m going to buy it from Gordon.

The issue is where can I find a movement holder that fits the case back I have and a bezel for it.

What are the recommendations for suppliers?

Thanks
BM

Which movement are you going to use?
Note decided yet. Have NOS 6497 and a cort 616. I think it will depend on what I can find for the build.

For the bezel and spacers, check Neckyzips Athaya and/or nightwatch. They might have something leftovers.

Nightwatch have Silix standard bezels also.
Standard Silix 3646 can take 6497 movements without any spacer.

Isn’t the NW Silix standard bezel press fit?

I might have a Silix 3646 bezel. Let me know if it's pressure fitted or not and the diameter of the seat.

Not pressure fit.

I’ll check the seat diameter.

But you wrote that caseback is Silix. Silix didn't made a case with bezel and caseback that screw in a movement holder.
Your midcase is threaded on the back?

Now I understand.
It’s an old case like 10yr old that was modified by Gordon. I have a complete one and this middle case. I thought that by now every 3646 case were built in the same way like Adrian, Gordon and River are making them. Didn’t know that Silix is using a different approach. This was my assumption and it why it’s became confusing.

Sorry about that.

I specifically ask for Silix parts but what I need is parts that fit in the middle case.

Here’s photos from the assembled case I have.

Only have this completed set with me right at the moment. The other parts are store at the garage.
