Check your bracelets!

Post by binbin »

Just a friendly service announcement. Don't forget to check your watch bracelets regularly.

Just about lost one of my favorite builds this evening. A 1675 Pepsi with a rivet bracelet. Many years ago I lost a rivet head on the band but I was lucky to notice right away and swore I would do a pre-flight on any watch from then on.

Well you know how that goes, you look and look and never find a problem, so you kinda get complacent and lazy.

Had a spare link sitting around. Fixed it all up. (added a little thread lock to the pin). :)

What are my best choices for a new 20mm rivet style bracelet and/or a Jubilee?

Have a great evening.

I’ve always felt the Yuki rivet stretch bracelets were really nicely made for a reasonable price.

I can't get in touch with Yuki anymore, never responded to orders, so I got mine at Raffles, very happy with those. (Had to file the end links for a snug fit though.)

I tried Yuki and Raffles. No Joy.

Does anyone have a 20mm Rivet band from a Cartel case? I would prefer a NOS bracelet, but would even settle for a broken band I could use as a parts donor.

I'm think I'm going to try one of these. Thankyou VanSong for the link. :)

Anyone here bought one of these and can give a review?

They're pretty good quality wise but you'll probably want this version that will take fat spring bars

Good point. One less thing for me to mod.

I wonder if I'll be able to transplant the clasp off my present bracelet.
