Heavy metal- watch weight

Post by Mellons »

Just wondering if there is an ideal weight out there, balance between heft and lightness? What is the ideal weight, and what is the heaviest watch you have or have had? Here is my heaviest combo atm- modded mm with heavy strapcode but feels very balanced on-

In quest to get mm lighter I forgot that a nice bit of heft with bracelet is very comfortable on. Any thoughts?

My favorite watch wears hefty enough to be noticeable but has a matching bracelet that is comfortable and hefty.

I noticed that sometimes a watch too light feels like less quality of a build.

Heavy metal- watch weight

I suppose even in comparison to my “larger” watches, the 126g was heftier than some of the others. Most of them though are on nylon straps or leather sonthsys a significant difference.

At 47mm with a fairly thick dial, the 3646 with gen dial was lighter, even with the big boy 26mm Elias buckle.

I’m intrigued now to weigh some of my other watches. It’s too bad my 6152/1 is in the shop. I’m pretty sure it would tip the scale the monster.

If 126 grams is a problem on your wrist you’ve got bigger problems than deciding what watch to wear haha!
