Lots of guys that have 240 builds ... we know the trials, search and waiting that we all have gone through! I remember many years ago when Gordon started posting some of his SF240 builds, and that other guy VDB? The regular old SF240 alarm models, and everyone drooling over their keyboards!!! Guys were falling over themselves, paying $1000+ for clocks on Ebay, only to find out they contained an SF190!!! Luckily I wasn't one of them, but I did pay my fair share for a few of those old crappy SF240's. Well, that's all part of the learning process ... of any hobby. I learned from the old guys, and now the young guys come along and have much more knowledge and nicer parts to choose from.

Many of us do not have the skills, tools or means to build these tiny jewels ... so we rely on all the craftsmen on this site.

So when I see a build like this ... non-alarm, custom dial, hands, incabloc!!! and with a great pedigree built by one of our resident craftsman ... I want to tell anyone that is considering it ... JUST BUY IT!!! Save yourself 1 or 2 years of searching, waiting and waiting ... BUY IT!!!

Ok .. let me get off the soapbox ... it's not like Joe is paying me commission!
