But that's just it mate. People who are sick always plan on getting better and have short periods of doing better. My dad does the same thing. When my grandmother died my family went into her freezer and found hundreds of perogies she made for Christmas when she was near death, she acted like she had months to spare because she had been fighting cancer for 11 yrs. Death and sickness is a total mind fuck.

RideInStyle wrote: August 17th, 2024, 4:30 pm Any news about Yoda?

Any update regarding the work he promised to do for the members?

I have my 6152/1 grail build from NW with a R618 incablok movement, a Pam 979 and C616 movement (total worth 5.000 USD) sitting in his workshop since 3 years without having heard anything from Michael.

Any advice how to handle this situation?
Did I ask for this being shipped to me? As far as I remember it was sent to me by one of our seasoned builders and something was/went wrong in the shipping/building process.
M, no reason for being grumpy.

We know each other since years, had so many chats about life, cars and watches and I'm considering you as a friend.

For the record:
Yes, you asked me to ship it over to me.

We've talked about this special watch, and I've mentioned that I experienced some issues with it.
At this time I was offering a winding pinion of a 240 movement for 100 USD on HF, and we agreed to a deal, that I'll give you the winding pinion in exchange for the work on my R618 movement. I also told you that I have an issue with my Pam 979 with the hands being not properly adjusted (hour and minute hand laying not over each other in a 12.00 position. You told this is an easy fix and I should ship it with the 6152/1 watch with the R618 movement.

This was on 27. October 2020.

I've shipped the watches on 18. November 2020.

You may also remember that I shipped both watches in a Diesel Jeans, so that if somebody opens the package he only see a Jeans and hopefully wouldn't find the watches in the pockets.

After a while you've contacted me to tell the CP has too much friction, which I told you before and you've find that one of the gears in the movement missing a tooth.

I suggested to contact Jorge to ship over a new CP in exchange to the old one, but you've told that you didn't want to deal with Jorge.
Instead, you've suggested that I ship to you a spare fully working C616 movement and that you're sure that you can use some parts of it to fix the R618 movement and if we're lucky, you might still be able to get the C616 movement working.

I've shipped the C616 movement on 06. March 2021.

The last post I've got from you was on 21. March 2021.

You clearly can see that I'm a patient and easy going person. You also know from various conversations we've had that I always try to send you some positive energy to deal with all the struggle you had with your pain.

But after 3.5 years of waiting for any response from you, my frustration about not hearing anything from you leaded to my post on HF.

I'm sorry if you are feeling offended by my post, but I think I have done nothing wrong.

Christof
Of course, sorry. It was a mistake, I mixed you up with another German member, my bad.

One person in Germany is the first one and then it is your turn. I will send the shipping number when I have been at the post office.

All of you, have a good weekend.
