Which gmt pepsi

Post by jackteet »

Hi, I am starting my homage collection by looking for a Pepsi. Cheap to start and am looking at Reginald and Parnis. I have seen other makes costing up to £200 but for that money I would go for a rep. Both Reginald and Parnis are less than £60.00 and for that money I am not expecting much but just wondered whether anyone has experience of these watches and if so, which is the better. thanks very much jack

There are many factors involved in understanding which one to choose. Usually both the homages and the Reps mount the Chinese DG3804B movements which do not enjoy a good reputation. If you want to spend more you will find the clones of the 2836-2 with gmt function, so-called Hangzhou 6460. definitely better but still Chinese.

I picked up a rep "Tudor" GMT and I'm pretty amazed at the quality, even comparing it to my son's genuine Tudor Bucherer blue.
Rep: Rolex Sea-Dweller | Tudor GMT | Panerai 6152 | Seiko Fifty-5 Fathoms
Gen: Bremont Alt-1B | Poljot Okean | Raketa Big 0 | Seagull 1963

Hi Ian, Thanks for that. I have researched the Reginald and Parnis and I must say that for the money they both look good with the Parnis just ahead. I am interested in the rep you mention. May I ask from whom you purchased as I am sure there are many cowboys out there. thanks jack
