Your story made my day.

On the other hand, I feel sorry for your loss but the good thing is that his memory will live on with you and the watches.

Help identifying Speedmaster

Post by civic4982 »

So this would probably be a 105.003 or 105.002. The 105.003 is known as an “Ed white” and has correct Dot over Ninety bezel as well. The hands also appear to be correct and you’re absolutely right that it has a 321 movement inside.

The bracelet from the photo you showed in the background is likely a 7912 with 6 end links.

I’ve got possibly a spare crown but if not I know they can be found for a nominal price.

I’m happy to flip through my Moonwatches Only book once you get it to help identify the content components individually.

What a special watch and a special story.

This is one of my favorite versions of the Speedmaster and it’s one of those ones that I someday dream to own.

Congrats and wear it in good health.

Thanks for your kind words everyone.

civic4982 I may have a source for a crown, but I’ll definitely take you up on your MWO lookup offer once I have it :)

The watch is back from a trip to my uncle's watch guy who was able to find what was needed to complete it:

I have some details from the inside too: It is a 105.003-65 with the 321 calibre.
