New dial projects

Post by Vintagetickers »

Here are a few dial projects I have been working on. I get most of my insiration from vintage 1930's thru 1960's Tissot, Patek, Hamilton, IWC and explorer designs and many more. Plus the one and only spacex falcon dial designed by me.

Tell us more about the dials and how you make them, especially the domed ones.

I spent almost a year developing this method. Not going to just give it away. I will have chronograph watches available soon with these dials in them. Beautiful vintage watches at an affordable price. coming soon, also if you have a design you would like to bring to life just pm me the design and I will make it happen.

This sounds very cool! Can you reveal a few more details?
Do you use lume for the numbers and indices? Can I order any colour and even different colours on one dial?
I have good experiences made with uv-print that is like a pad print but much more sharp. Pitty that those printers don't work with lume.
When I order an uv-printed dial I send a vector-drawing (I use inkscape for the design) to the mate who does the printing and he uses the vector drawing directly for his printer. Sad enough he refuses to print logos with a copyright like RLX etc even when it is a fantasy design. Will you offer this service?
Anyway - your dials are very cool and I am sure that you will be successfull with them.
Good luck und let us keep contact.

Hello Cosmic 2000, Thanks for the message. I can lume these dials as you can see in the pics. I design all my dials but inspiration comes from 1930's thru 60's that's in my opinion when they created the most beautiful designs. I have some haters already on some other sites but that's to be expected with a break thru like this. I have put logos on the watches I wear such as HEUER, MENERVA, DOXA, etc... and can wear any brand I choose which is cool but I am not into replicating logos because of the legal ramifications. These are meant to appear vintage and not new and are glossy not matte. Here are a couple of pic with lume.
