Re: The perpetual wrist shot thread
Hahaha, the soup does not look super gen to me though! However, about two years ago I almost pulled the trigger on an "all original" Seiko 6138-8020 model (Panda Chrono) until a local collector friend slapped me on the wrist and asked me if I was insane. Well as it turns out, there was nothing "all original" about that watch, at a price tag of $1,900. That made me wonder who in the world would rep a Seiko, and oh man was I surprised when I stumbled upon rep SKX007s that were barely $50 cheaper than the actual $200 original... SMH

Haha. Yes it’s a gen old 6105-8009. Runs great and has a really nice patina to it without too much cost. A lot of vintage watch for the money.Yoda wrote:Of course it is gen, it is a Seiko and they are usually gen! Have you ever seen a homage of a Seiko? Just wondering. yes they are with thick springbars, just hate to screw and unscrew all the time
lugs are drilled so changing straps is easy

It's a tough movement, tougher than the real one.
