Inter alia,the stem seems to have been removed and re-inserted many,many times...

It is just a Cortebert 624.

Yup, a 624, not 618. Thinner and wider than 616/618, needs its own movement ring. Engravings are probably real, Rolex did use the 624 in pocket watches.
