This may be a long shot but I am looking for a click spring for a Sea Gull ST 19 movement. This is the manual chronograph used in probably every rep and homage vintage Speedmaster, Daytona etc.
I know the movement was based on the Venus 175 or Lemania 2310 but a clickspring from that movement is totally different.
Does anyone know of a replacement part number that would be a universal like through Otto Frei or something? I would have saved it to compare with assorted sizes of clicksprings but it had pretty much exploded when I fished out the remnants.

Re: Sea Gull ST 19 help
This is a common failure point with these movements and I replace the clicksprings in them fairly regularly but I've got an assortment and just pick one out that fits so I can't help with a part number. The cheap Chinese steel in the stock springs is garbage, that's for sure.

I just look around for the correct shape and create one from steel I have in my stash.

Any direction as to the shape? Like I said it was in several pieces when I opened it up. I assume an omega or hairpin shape.

I don't remember the shape right now, I usually follow the lines and take a thread that will work size wise.
