It happens ... when you start hitting mid to late 40's ... and it truly goes downhill like within a year! It can happen sooner if you originally has any lasik eye surgery to correct your far vision.

So ... I have bought several bifocal readers ... these are a decent combination, because they are also impact resistant and have a decent size bifocal area. They are cheap.

I’m 50 and no problems with my eyes. My father always said masturbating ruins your eyesight... or was that .. it makes you blind.
