I had this dial left and I tried (with different colors) to reach a similar result for a new project like this.

I see what you mean.
IMO, since tropical dials are the result of moisture under the clear coat,
maybe you should try a "wet" process, so as the color blend and "stains" develop in an "organic" shape.
Easier to say than to do :-)
I would start by aging the whole dial surface, yours look too brand new IMHO.

Little wrong and not accurate application of forth and I need to buy one more movement for parts :mrgreen: :lol: solved... :cool: oh this crazy tolerances, how they was able to do at that time long ago...

as the split second chronograph takes amazing volume of fun, would like to dissolve it with LP a240 ImageImage after vintage Chrono a240 looks a piece of cake Image ImageImage. not putting aside anything, just two projects parallel ImageImageImage
