Re: The perpetual wrist shot thread
My 6154 dsn shaping attempt about 5 years after the purchase. I heavily reshaped it using Mellon's work as a guide. Couldn't improve the lugs as he did due to lack of necessary tools, means and skills. But, I also tried to shave the mid case using his measurements, also thinned down the case back considerably like more than half for a comfortable sit. Lowered the bezel as well. I kept the the original crown and the dial and the rollie movement by davidsen for now, as I thought it should at least see some wrist time before I start working on the newer brass dial by Belkin and an another movement. I also used a thicker and more curved plexi from Jackson I had to mod for a perfect fit. So many words, so let the pics speak for themselves
Here below is the link to Mellon's attempt

Thanks maester. Each time it improves but your skills are far too beyond mine given what you've succeeded.Mellons wrote:This looks excellent!earloflondon wrote: ↑September 8th, 2024, 12:08 pm My 6154 dsn shaping attempt about 5 years after the purchase. Re: The perpetual wrist shot thread
It’s all practice. And i never posted the cases I destroyed (usually my first attempt goes in the bin!)
