I found a few old high jewel Titoni Airmaster movements from sellers in India for $12-18 US. The movements and dials were in rough shape and took a lot of cleaning, removal of corrosion and polishing of movement bits, but they run beautifully. ETA 2452 calibers are pretty bulletproof, even after decades of neglect. All of the extra jewels are in the automatic winding works. They look pretty cool and surprisingly actually work well, the rotors fly like the backspin of a 7750.

I dropped them into 38mm San Martin SN004 cases and added glide lock clasps to the rivet bracelets - a bit of sanding and polishing of the edges of the bracelets to give them that smooth “been worn for decades” feel.

The original Airmasters had a faceted gem above the 6 marker, but as those were long gone I replaced them with spare balance chaton and cap jewel.

Finished them off replacing the sapphire crystals with vintage tinted plexi domes.

I still need to redo the hands on the tuxedo 77 jewel, but they are both running +/- 20 seconds a day. As most of my builds are 44-47mm, these feel like toys on the wrist! They’ll make for good summer travel watches.
