Received a Zenith in-house caliber 3841 today ( 38mm ) , the succesor of the 177T.
Production years 1969-1977.
The logo variant on the dial places it after 1972.
Very happy to see the timegrapher show 320 amplitude.
Curious about power reserve, can't find info on the 177 or this variant, so i armed it to full and will just see when it stops.
Will keep it as is... condition is too nice to use it for a build.

Did you set the Lift Angle on 40° on the timegrapher?

Probably default of 50 on that variant, it's a pro version. I don't own a grapher, i just use the local watchmaker to get a rough assesement of caliber health.
I don't have the lift angle movement details, default is for sure around the 44 degrees mark, and not 50.

I’ve built a few of the 177T and 3841 into 47mm cases. They require the crown stem converters (1.5->1.2 I think), and sometimes I’ve needed to shave down the crown chimney and converter a bit to get things to fit right. They are really strong movements, beautifully made and keep excellent time. I love how big the balance wheel is! Also, they wind loud but smooth - so satisfying.
I keep adding airplane parts to my motorbike but it still doesn’t fly
