I bought the Thorn BB58 to build this, and I have to say, the quality per dollar on this brand punches way above its weight. They’re a great deal.

Man those look great! I’ve been picking up orphaned vintage Swiss automatic movements on eBay for lunch money prices, cleaning and rebuilding and they generally work great and don’t need anything other than a case.

Do you happen to remember what size the caseback is on that BB58 case is? If I can swap in a standard 30mm display caseback that would be perfect for a project I’m working on.
I keep adding airplane parts to my motorbike but it still doesn’t fly

Don’t know off hand but I’ll measure when I get home from work and let you know. It’s made for NH3x movement so you’ll need to figure out a ring to make a Swiss movement work

Thanks man! Raffles has an insert that works perfectly to fit old Swiss into NH cases. Also, that insert is really nice, I’ve got a friend that wants a lumed insert for an SKX build that has 12 hour & a countdown timer. I should give Odokadolo a PM.

dj57 wrote: September 3rd, 2023, 2:30 pm There is an AliE seller who sells a rep RLX Oyster Celebration 41mm. Not a Hommage. It‘s a rep with the RLX Image on the dial, on the crown and bracelet.

Very clever Image they use the AliE platform, thus I think in that way they bypass the customs Image etc. Image

106€ with 2813 movement 41mm
182€ with 8216 movement 41mm
… and some more combinations

On the pictures you don’t see that the watches are reps but they sent me pictures via WhatsApp.
