Man that’s cool! Are you going to clear coat it or let the patina run wild?
I keep adding airplane parts to my motorbike but it still doesn’t fly

I received this S.L.C. Maiale box and I thought it is a finished/ready to use product.
I think this is going to be trickier than some of the movements we work on for our builds.

I’ll start after vacations.
Have a great new week

Re: What are you working on now?
Unsuccessful conversion of a Formula 1 to Aquaracer. My first serious quartz repair job….

A little bit of corrosion inside, damage happened about two weeks ago when he forgot to screw in the crown. A replacement movement is reasonably cheap, but I’m going to give it a go to try and fix it for the experience.
The dial, hands and date discs are still in perfect condition after drying out, and nothing important inside looks corroded or damaged except for a spot in the battery tray.
I’ve already lost the date jumper spring as required when working on a new movement. It’ll show up the night before the replacement part arrives
Any tips or advice welcome!
