Working on the last steps finalizing themes Ali case. Did some reshaping, polishing and my first steps in filling engravings and applying resin. Dial is for test fitting. The real deal is waiting for the big day

Re: What are you working on now?
Building a GMT Turtle mod for a friend. The case/bezel/crown/crystal from Crystal Times, lumed date wheel, chapter ring and movement from eBay, Raffles hands and Tiger dial.
The dial printing is sharp! I had to spin it on a Dremel with sandpaper to take down one millimeter to fit the case. Added lume to the dial for some aging and extra brightness, but it needs a bit more as the plots are just so small.
The hands need more lume too, they look pretty good but the lume is really weak.
Getting the chapter ring to line up perfectly with the dial is going to take some tweaking, it’s sooo close but as someone else on here said “a millimeter may as well be a mile”.
He hasn’t decided between a 60 or GMT bezel, but I can’t wait to see how this one turns out! My second Seiko mod.
