That's a Raffles case...rafflesdials.comCiccio wrote: ↑July 19th, 2023, 12:20 pmThis is super cool! Would love to know where you found that case, I’m a big fan of engine turned bezels!Hypnogagia wrote:With the heat waves coming in for the summer and the 26mm leather straps being a bit warm, I thought a light steel summer watch was in order. 36mm Air King case, green Wyler bubble plexi and an Angelus automatic (ETA 2451).
Tore down and rebuilt the movement. Everything looked great inside, with the exception of a chipped jewel- have a replacement on the way along with a new mainspring. Runs perfect dial up, but the amplitude dives dial down. Not sure if it’s the chipped jewel (train bridge seconds pinion), but here’s hoping the replacement fixes it

Damn that’s some incredible work! What process are you using to get to the final case?

@razl @Mike08 heated the case then pulled it out. filed the case down, added a bit metal on top, then need solder, but it will later. too long i will reduce the tube length later

Yes it’s possible to polish it’s the same as “normal” 316L. Already did screw casebacks and threads works perfectly.
