The defect is the design used for cliché plate itself !
It may happen, but if they have build the chole watch, this means they intended to sell as is...
Yet, the laser engraving being so crappy, are you sure it's a Gen?
It look likes it lack a laser pass:
We can see the outlines and inner lines engraved, but not the slight recess inside the letters.
