Just for information
Luminor is powered by Cortebert 517. Predecessor of 618 or not, doesn't matter, same as 616 it is not a 618. So let's call the things as they are.
This is not 618
This is Cortebert 517 (I hope all are able to sesrch in Google)

Good luck with sales ;)

Hi.
Thank you for sharing.
My ebauche as I referred before has cortebert stamp and caliber under balance wheel referred as 618.
I know the configuration is different from Rolex Cal. 618 and more of a Rolex cal. 514 (eaton) not for sure a cal. 517.
Cortebert cal. 517:

Cortebert cal. 517A:

Rolex cal. 514 (eaton):

And mine:

Does it look like like a cal. 517?
If the pictures are not enough could you kindly google and find it so you can call the things as they are?

I will be very thankful.
M.

Under the balance wheel (i take it that you know what a balance wheel is) on the right side of the C logo 618 is engraved meaning that the ebauche is the same; the movement is Rolex 514 (eaton), what do you suggest to call it? 517?

Ah... Excuse me it is 516, different from 517 is that it is with seconds at 6. Same difference as 616 and 617.
Anyway yes. This is 517/516.

Believe me I know what is a balance wheel :)
Does genuine Rolex 618 have any "618" engravings under balance?
All is different between 516/517 and 618. Even screws for dila :) on cal 5** those are on base plate, on 6** those are on sides of bridges :)
Funny discussion we have here.
I want to continue :)
