Good choice, reliable workhorses Unitas/ETA are. These can easily be regulated to be within + /- 0 seconds a day.

I agree with Yoda, an exceptional movement, when it is clean has a great reserve and precision.. Very easy for service.. I like the ut 6497/8, 6325, very much.. 6497/8 quite often in pocket watches in my country.. I especially like the hammer finish

I see you had to downsize the dial by about 1mm or so ...right? Did you solder new feet to fit the 6498?

Re: What are you working on now?
Dj57 thanks, great observation, I had to reduce the original dial by 2.1mm.. It was originally 41mm, I reduced it to 38.9mm. Very neat work:) I left the feet original, because the hunter variant is 6498.. Tomorrow I will probably assemble everything and hang it up photos:)

Yoda, thank you for your kind offer.. If you like the mechanism and if you have a nice plan with it, I will send it to you as a gift.. Just let me know the details and address in private messages:)

I have a hammered finish to swap for the brushed you have.
