From where I am, to ?

My first watch was a manual Timex, my second was a LED and my third was a LCD. Since then I have been into manual watches.
Until recently.....I used to avoid quartz watches, everything with batteries made me run...
I managed to revive an LED watch from the 1970s yesterday and I quite like it.
Easy to read, light, hassle free, nice design, I would not be surprised if there will be a sales thread with manual watches and movements from my chambers in the future.
Looking for SF240s and Hamilton ? LOLOL!

I will replace the battery and take a picture. Right now it is pieces, cleaned the rubber strap and the case, checked the movement and added a new gasket and lug bars. It feeds on a 3V CR2032 battery...the biggest I have ever seen in a watch.

Nice! I had no idea LED watches existed back in the 70s.I got a cheap chinese (5usd) one a few years ago and thought it was a contemporary thing since 2000s. It looked a lot like yours, though, but like much cheaper version. I don't want to 'crap' your thread, but if you don't mind I would like to post the link if anyone's (like me) is a noob in this area and would like to know more about the history of this type of watches.

Watches and fashion and everyday functionality is like a wheel Michael. It turns and turns. And what is up, is going down and on and on. I have a feeling nowdays for the lcd watches of the past....when I was young.....

Michael,
I don't want to burst your bubble, but that watch is not a vintage 70s LED watch. None the vintage ones used a 2032 as a battery. That's a modern "LED" watch, most likely Chinese. Here is one of my vintage Pulsars. This is the "Date/Command" model in stainless steel.

I've collected a few vintage LEDs, before moving on to making my own homages. I still have my dad's gold filled "Date/Command", original module never broken.
