What are Rolex 622s going for now? 17 jewel, 'spiral breguet elinvar' engraving. Don't think it is a 618 because of the elinvar and narrow CdG. How do you tell the difference when in a case?
Was never that into movements, but one has come up...

618 has all proportions of Cortebert 616. 622 has all proportions of Cortebert 620 and (624). 622 is much thinner then 618. I have some experience.

What would you expect to pay for either of them?

I buy occasionally, so price is differ and sometime you can get with bad balance through eBay. one time I got crap for 600usd, one time I got perfect for 1000. most expensive I payed 2k. I got a chance to buy 618 not expensive one piece.

That looks like a Rolex 626. See here: https://watchengines.files.wordpress.co ... sition.jpg

The tell is the bevelled edge plus the extra movement ring. It is same thickness as 620/622 (thinner than 616/618), but 17 ligne instead of 16.
