Hi, does anyone recognise this as a Swiss movement. It looks like a Hangzhou or Sea-gull to me. It’s out of a Dreyfus with Swiss Made all over it.
Thanks.

The site kept crashing end erroring out. I didn’t even know it had posted, meanwhile we’ve moved on from that particular project

Interesting configuration, the cannon pinion and hour wheel on the movement side.

It seems to be a Seagull TY2809, (31mm)
"Swiss Made" doesn't mean anything nowadays,
they take a Chinese movement or ebauche, add a few "make up" in CH, then call it "Swiss Made"

It’s 25.6mm. It has a stop lever that interferes with the fourth wheel and a floating seconds pinion. It’s an extremely complicated answer to a non complication movement. No wonder it went kaput! Meanwhile I’ve removed the stop lever and made it a two hand watch - problem solved it now runs like a boss.

Glad to read that you fixed it. Congrats.
I guess it's a smaller variant of TY2809, bridges, balance design, setting lever ... are exactly the same ones.
