Best movement for a daily watch

Hi guys,
I am thinking about building a NW 6152 with an SF240 movement. But, as a newbie I have some questions (They might be stupid... but I prefer to ask them) that more experienced members of this forum could answer based on previous experience. So, do you use vintage movements in a daily basis?
The thing is that I enjoy wearing my watches so I don't want to be concerned every time I wear it about damaging the movement. I am pretty sure that if I buy an Angelus SF240 will be an incabloc... but would it make sense? Are these movements though? Or is it better to go for an ETA 6497 which can be replaced for a few hundred bucks if damaged?
Thanks in advance

If it's going to be a daily beater, chances are that you will be much happier with a simple 6497.

Yep, that’s true (also 6498).
On the other hand side, you can use a Molnija 3602 (yes, the movement is also „sensitive“ but it can be found and replaced for around €30) or a Molnija 3603.

Another budget suggestion is the Asian clone of the 6497, the ST36. AliExpress brings it to you for some 30 to 40 bucks.

Nice!!!
In fact I’m building a NW 3646 with a 616 I got for a good price (or probably not so good, newbie mistakes). The movement is being serviced right now. The point is that I know that once I have my build completed I am going to wear the hell out of it at least for the first few months.
But the Angelus, I know I would like to wear it 4/5 times per month, and not planing doing any weird or extreme activity with it. So I think it should be fine.
Anyway, these movements were used in military watches… it was shocking reading about how delicate are Angelus movements and difficult to service.

I wore my 616 build every day for about a year... so no problems!
Its just that the 6497 is the machine, very reliable, all spareparts available at nearly every watchmaker etc...
I dont have a 240 build so no experience here...

I’ll say the seagull ST36 / ST3600. The good thing about the Chinese copy is some of them are 21600 rather than 18000 on 6497. If I remember correctly, only very expensive version 6497 will have higher beat rate.
