Just got this from eBay for a cheap price, Lemania 8 day clock movement medium size version (42mm). A little too big to make a wristwatch, maybe building it into a pocket watch later on.

Took it apart and its build quality is better than I expected, missing some parts but I get it running now. The surface finish is quite basic as typical Lemania, but all parts are coded. winding gears are quite strong and it's a better design than Angelus (SF240 & SF130) IMO. The one I got has a very strange gear set near the stem/yoke which looks like a power reserve indicator.

Maybe the smaller version of this (32mm?) might a better movement than SF240 mechanically.

What about for a big egi build???

I don't know the exact size, but my wrist is on the small side..

I have small wrists too. I personally tried an egi and it doesn’t work. If I were you, I would get someone to mill a clock case, display back, make a fantasy dial… use it as a paperweight for your desk or some place at home you get to enjoy.
