The retirement watch …..

I decided to build myself a retirement watch since I didn’t get one from the company….. and yes, I used to work in the rail industry.

My last day was 01/01/2019. I haven’t spent much of the 3 years building much even though this was in the works for quite a while.

Sadly, I have misplaced my Ross dial, and this version has flaws, but it will do….

I found a watch with a retrograde modified 6498 movement / case that needed work. The hands were rough, the movement needing a service….the dial ugly IMO

So I had my moment….

Congratulations and dont feel bad when I retired I didn't get a watch either. The watch looks great.

Love it, so glad to see you're building again. I think the dial looks great, great vintage vibe with the paint job.

What's the next build on the bench?

Do yoiu have a photo of the inner workings of the retrograde ahnd?
