Hello,

I would like to post this thread about timeline of Guenat 3126 (ETA 6497) movements in PreV watches if anyone is interested in movement engravings in homage PreV builds.

As we all know Guenat 3126 came in two types (1a and 1b) and the only difference is in the engravings.

So, if we have any members here who have good insights into these movements it would be great information for future builders which movement goes into which preV watch, that would be great.

I came across a lot of pictures and articles but I am still confused about 203a, 205a and 207a watches. As for 218a watch, I assume it would be 1b configuration (if it was ever built in '96).

As I researched around this is what I found:

5128-201a had 1a
5218-202a had 1a
5218-203a had 1b
5218-205a had 1a and 1b (10 submersible prototypes with 201a caseback per perezcope article where he wrote about special Submersible)
5218-207a had 1a

I “assume” that these other PreVs had these ETA6497 configurations because they were built around 1996:

5218-209 had 1b
5218-210 had 1b
5218-218 had 1b

If I am not correct please make corrections. I am here to learn too.. :)
