A Seiko SRPC49 "Black Ninja Turtle" Homage

The Black Ninjia Turtle hit the streets I think three years ago as a special limited edition and I fell instantly in love with it.
But, I didn't get one... :x
The edition was sold out fast as hell and soon the prices rocketed in the 2nd hand market.
The watch now commands up to triple amount of the original price; quite steep, I'd say... :wtf:

So, I was thrilled when upon recommendation of ASCIWhite I browsed the pages of "dialmaker-in-China" at Aliexpress and found the Black Ninja Dial as a 50 layer C3 lume homage. It became even more interesting when I spotted an excellent quality 1:1 black PVD Turtle case and corresponding hands @ Namoki's.

Now, I was all set to correct the missed opportunity of the past

Ingredients:
Dial: Dialmaker-in-China
Case, bezel, ceramic bezel insert, CB, hands: Namoki
NH35 movement: Aliexpress
Strap: Original Turtle strap for my gen SRP777 Turtle

On to the pics.
Perhaps you are up to a small competition and try to spot the differences to the gen version

And of course, a lume shot.
Mind, the watch was one was illuminated with normal light only prior to the shot and not with a UV torch :o

Thanks for looking.

What a sneaky beast! The fat lume is something else. You clearly un-missed that opportunity now

edit: this is not a solid bar of Ti-Mascus you used as a stand there, right?

Thanks for your kind words and encouragement. :)

Yes, the bar.
The bar is actually a case for Japanese chopsticks.
It is made from wood, as are the chopsticks, and covered with many layers of differently colored lacquer.
I found it way back when living in Japan on a flea market in Sendai or Tokyo, can't really remember.
