Dears ,
Currently I am on sick leave ( several knee surgeries ) and having plenty of time for thinking and designing , now I am working a diver model build on 3646 mid case , bidirectional bezel non case back crown at 12 etc , I just became a customer of ETA but they stopped the production of 6487-2 and run out of stock , I am checking with Sellita and STP watch company , STP also accepted my customer request , My heart says Sellita but wanted to ask to you guys , can you recommend me some movements which you want to see in a nice watch ?
Bests

I have heard that Selitta has had quality issues and that 200.000 movements were withdrawn....
Oh, I hope that you will have a swift recovery!

I'm not an expert on that. The case it's big, but I recently saw a long list of micro brands using the ETA 7001. Its a small movement for that 3646 mid case, but it's my 5 cents for this thread
Have a fast recovery.

I would contact Dan from OWC.
I guess he has a lot of experience how to deal best with your type of choice issue.

It was the Selitta SW movements, the hairspring checked out under 40 degrees, started to slip.

do you mean 6497-2 ?
this is the original manual wind movement that Panerai used in all its original Luminors ... 6497-2 was not so readily available back then, ETA kept a tight lock on them, and I am sure Panerai monopolized most of the inventory
6497-2 = high beat 21,600
6497-1 = low beat (more pedestrian version, cheaper and more readily available) 18,000
With or without Secs = 9
power reserves on these would be maybe 50+ hours?
even now it's hard to find 6497-2 ... but this guy usually has many variety of movements (not cheap, but all is new and genuine with this guy) .. he also has some really cool modified, anodized and skeletonized versions of those movements
https://www.ebay.com/itm/MOVEMENT-ETA-U ... SwubdfO1Dj
This version he sells is a nicer finished with CDG, polished and blue screws
6497 is a large workhorse movement to fit that case you are working on ...
