P3000 clone

Post by Yoda »

For how long is the P3000 clone supposed to run?

I was under the impression that it was 72 hours.

I repaired and serviced one Thursday last week and it is still running?!

My P3000 clone in my 690 rep lasts about 5-6 days. Incredible for a rep movement really!

It depends on the version. Some are just 6497 with decorations others are proper 7 days.

That must be the version I have then. I thought it was about 5-6 days, but probably is 7. Definitely a LOT longer than any 6497 movements I have.

8 giorni nut

Re: P3000 clone

I've read it depends on the spring ... 3 days is on the Low side. I do not believe the factories ever made an 8 day proper movement super clone.

The true P3000 "Super Clone" is a new creation by the factories (well, several years new) ... it mimics exactly the Genuine P3000 (2 barrels) ... however there are a few tell tale signs ... there are screws missing on the clone P3000 and the clone balance wheel regulator looks nothing like the Genuine one (I have side by side comparison)

However, for what it's worth .... it's a great looking clone and does the Job really well .. especially when serviced and cleaned. I ripped these photos off from RG ... but I have the same movements to compare here.
