Hey watch-meisters! How complicated is it to take off a rose gold coating, whether to scrape off or to take off with some chemical solution?
Thank you in advance!

Gold should be a lot easier to take off than DLC.

Jewelers do that much better with chemical process. Before they perform gold plating, they usually strip old gold layers so they can match the uniform color of new gold layer...
Ask locally first if someone is doing that.

To answer this question, need to know, what is your final goal?
What is your base metal?
As said here earlier, for me, would be safer to send it with sandpaper, but you need to be skilled, to do it with Closer to factory results... gold is very corrosive resistant, electrochemical method will eat base metal faster. So I would sand first it then polished.

It’s a rep watch with a rose/gold coating, which I don’t like much and thinking to scrape it off to get to SS look.
