Hi all, i have been not so lucky with a SF240 build and after travelling around the world, it is now in Singapore with yet another watchmaker who has some technical questions.

In the attached picture, there are 2 setting wheels of the sf240. Does anyone know if they should be the same size?

Currently, wheel b is slightly bigger and my local watchmaker is wondering if this is correct.

That yoke screw appears to be one of those from Jorge, I am going to convert a movement with some of these parts and the yoke screw in the kit looks like yours.

BTW, has the watchmaker put these wheels right now?

Anyone can see how they should be, but that's just my humble opinion.
When I tear something apart, then I feel that it is obvious how it should go back together, whether it's a movement or an engine.

Previously i used a very bad guy who used epoxy to glue both the watch case and the sf240 movement he sold me. I believe he never thought i would find out until i sent the watch first to unreformed who managed to save and fix the movement.

I then sent it to nightwatch to build my grail watch, but i encountered further issues when nightwatch told me something was wrong w the setting lever and screw. I ordered a set from jorge but it never arrived. As there was a global pandemic screwing postal services, i decided to receive the movement in singapore before deciding what to do.

Recently i found a singaporean watchmaker who was willing to help. Actually it is hard to find a watchmaker willing to work on homage watches or vintage movements in singapore.

The watchmaker shared that that the problem was actually the yoke screw being too short (see pic) As a result, the yoke would slip whenever we tried to insert the stem. He made a new yoke screw. That is why it looks different.

He also mentioned the stem was a little too short. I managed to get new stems from Athaya and passed it to him. So hopefully it all works well now.

Good to read that the movement was within salvage by unreformed66 and your watchmaker in Singapore.
