I get to clean up the messes made by lots of incompetent people. It's never-ending. But this one really takes the cake. Observe the "side shake" in the barrel arbor.


So I made a bushing. It's not as difficult as you might think.


All in a day's work at the bench. And don't bitch about my bare fingers, it went in the cleaning machine right after the video was made.

I wonder what atrocities you will find in my 2 macgyver hack-job conversions...

I don't think there is anything that bad, but I could be wrong. They definitly haven't been handled with finesse from what I've been able to observe.

Nice post, interesting to see these things and how you fix them.

Unfortunately i know this issue very well... This is the work of a Singaporean 'watchmaker' that i had the misfortune of know... It came to me represented as being serviced several times and carefully tested...

Other atrocities he has done include expoying the crown guard to the watch...

Sounds no good..

But im glad i met you guys... And we exposed that spinmaster fraud for what he is...

Your sf240 is now w kilowattore and i know its going to be an epic build....

This one that unreformed66 is showing... Will be fixed and then it goes to gordon for the other epic build... And there goes all my watch funds for th3 next 3 years...
