Hi there,

I found a SF240 for sale. But before buying it I want to see the movement and check how good it is.

The current owner let me open the case and check the movement. Because I don’t want to broke anything and at the end buy a rusty movement, how can I start and open this:

Remove the brass knob and the three screws in the middle.
Under that you will find a metal cover which is friction fitted, gently pry it up working your way around the edges.
Be careful not to scratch the movement bridges!
