Hi HF members,

I saw this watch for sale but not sure much about its value.

I made a small eBay search and got prices from 600USD to 1200USD. Is this watch value such high? I really don’t know the watch model lineage.

Thanks

Aquastar has been around for a while, they are very good quality diving watches and sometimes they fetch top $.

IIRC there were different models, the 1701 is one of them.

They go for everything between $500 and $2000.

It all depends on condition.

Didn’t check the movement. Wasn’t sure about the value. The tag price was $500.

Aquastar was big in the late 60's and 70's they were once a favorite of the Cousteau Family and Also was the watch worn buy
Roy Scheider in Jaws. Aquastar also made a diving instruments similar to the one Paneari made and was popular among pro divers specially around South Europe and Mediterranean.
They also made the first mechanical Regatta sailing watch in 1973 (patent).

Company name was re-released 10 years back and produced some nice but expensive watches.
Dont now what they do today.

Thanks for the reply. Didn’t bought the watch. But got to say that Coustau had a good taste, that watch looks great.
