Who has sent something to me using DHL?
It doesn't work around here. I have a door code and they never bother to ring the bell or my phone, they never leave a note either.
DHL, UPS, not to mention FedEx. They all sit in their yellow, brown and what not vans, eating snacks, looking at their iPhones and eating chocolate, unless they are wanking.
I am not going to create an account to get in touch with these mofos, not going to sit with my telephone hours on end, not going to drive several miles to pick up a parcel I know nothing about, it is simply not going to happen.
Let me know before you send anything.

Re: Delivery company
Same problem here,but not with every courier service and also depending on the country of origin.The absolute nightmare are packages from France (Colissimo),which are being delivered here via DPD.The Colissimo tracking no.doesn't work in DPD system (isn't recognized) and those couriers never leave a note on our door.A sf240 was returned to the sender back in June 3 days before I finally found out the DPD was the carrier (the carrier switches from France Poste to DPD in Germany).Yoda wrote: ↑September 10th, 2019, 10:07 am Who has sent something to me using DHL?

Re: Delivery company
It would be a good thread to discuss delivery options (minus the wanking delivery)
US ==> EU
EU ==> US
What countries are heavily monitored
Tracking vs No Tracking
Parts, Straps and Watches?
I know here in the US ... shipping overseas and adding some form of "tracking" is really expensive add on!
USPS really sucks for shipping international ... although it is the cheapest
DHL and FEDEX have the best tracking systems ... and I feel have less customs interception?
I hesitant to sell high price items over seas ... because of this potential of loss. Shit, even losing a $200 watch strap would suck for the buyer ... then, adding tracking requires an additional 10%?!

Re: Delivery company
Regular national postal service works great in Spain and most of the tracking numbers from overseas too.
We also have Seur, DHL, UPS, etc. but DHL seems to enjoy charging customs fees.

Re: Delivery company
Normal post from here to everywhere in the world works well, I almost always ship insured with tracking.
I have only lost one package in 12 years, it was a movement heading for Italy or Greece, that's it.
USPS sucks, as soon as it leaves the United Stated of America there is no way it can be tracked.

Re: Delivery company
well, i know from our experience USPS sucks, or it's the handlers and custom officials in general that SUCK. nobody respects packages. in fact, i think they TRY to F#@% with packages just to blow off steam or personal frustrations.Yoda wrote: ↑September 10th, 2019, 11:44 am Normal post from here to everywhere in the world works well, I almost always ship insured with tracking.

FWIW, USPS priority international does come with a tracking service and it tracks well in my experience. if someone from the US just sends it standard international mail, it will not be tracked outside of the USA.

Re: Delivery company
I prefer USPS for both cost and lack of issues with customs. They are slower however those other two issues are more important to me than speed.
