I have this Omega Planet Ocean and the automatic movement is making me tired. It may even be time for service.
So, today I decided to remove the Omega on the crown and clasp, install either a SF240 or a Eterna with center seconds, I hate automatic movements! LOL!
Manual movements, come to daddy!
Now to decide what the dial should look like.

Ewww angelus 240? Why do that to yourself unless totally necessary?
Once I am finished me 240 build I'm never going near another one of these movements hehehe.
I love and hate them.
They are a very beautiful pain in the ass.
Remind me of my wife...

Oh, I have come a long way with these. At first I was baffled by people using a travel clock movement in a watch, but since they started landing on my doorstep I have grown to like them.
Some of these have been a pain in the ass, but most of them have been straight forward.
A couple of hundred by now, exercise makes a master.
I emailed your wife about the last sentence! LOL!

You are so right on this ... it is a finicky and needy movement. Like a friggin Persian cat or like a lot of the women walking around Miami ... but such a sexy movement to look at!
I'm going to start doing like the vintage Panerai collector/painter .. Eng Tay ... he just wears his watches, doesn't even wind them or have them serviced.

... you can't email mine ... she's long gone! Now it's just girlfriends and dinner dates ... much cheaper.

In a way I am sorry to hear that, but I assume that it is a part of life.

You could keep it simple and just remove the rotor or the entire auto-winder...

I know, but then my OCD would kick in as the movement would be incomplete....

Nothing to be sorry about ... ask anyone married to a Cuban woman.
If you ever want to get out of a speeding ticket ... try this
After an intense high speed chase, an officer finally gets the driver to pull over.
“You know,” says the officer, “I was originally pulling you over to tell you your taillight is out.
Why the hell did you take off like that?”
The man replied .... “Last week my wife ran off with a cop,” the man said, “and I panicked for a moment and thought you were trying to bring her back.”
The cop gave the man back his license and walked away ...
