Yep, I thought that. And maybe some of the strap makers around here can take advantage of something like this (for the price)neckyzips wrote: ↑May 20th, 2019, 6:05 am Funny how things work, my friend came by yesterday and borrowed my big singer to sew up his sail covers, he was telling me about this machine. A knife maker friend has the 1500.00 one and it is amazing! He was punching through half an inch of leather like butter. It had guides etc too. But for the cost of a decent dinner out this would be worth a go!
Those old singers are tanks! And can be found at thrift stores at will.toofsy wrote: ↑May 20th, 2019, 6:26 am Hi Emilio, I don't know about this machine, but I found and bought for 40€ a old singer 31k15 with added engine. It's an old industrial machine from 20's really simple and strong able to stitch more than 7 mm leather layer...I assume I had a good deal but should be found for 100€ easily with or without electric motor.
