I'm curious how this dial was made. Did you make it?

first idea, search for pictures, 2d sketch on iPad, 3d modeling, 3d sculpting, adapting for flat relief, arranging indexes on 3d, programming cnc milling, milling from silver, cleaning the surface, experimenting with patina, removing patina, experimenting with different color plating, removing unsuccessful layers, doing again, adding few dirty stains, applying lume on index, leveling lume, applying some stains..........
all steps I done myself... its quite time consuming, but if motivation is still alive I continue... I'm afraid my patience will finish and this watch will be not regulated for time keeping, as I would like to, as I have many abandoned projects. and now I want depth gauge style. but crown is not finished yet. I want it perfect, but need extra skill to learn, I will hire online tutor for this. but the secular work is too busy. and the circle go another round ))

Wow...it's really a painstaking job that requires patience, skill and a great desire to experiment.

Grazie mille ) I have less then two weeks to finish the crown... before taking a picture of it in one of Milan coffee or Como. now started design depth gauge dial.

Some of Gordons dials has this texture. I met one original dial that has this texture too. it happens if the dial was filed with more rough sandpaper then usual and during the anodizing process the texture was not fully eaten by chemicals. I have one dial with this texture. one day will use it in one of my builds. But could be play of light on the sun. you can see it with 10x lupe or macro shot. )
