OH yes i experimented with these as well some years back, they are much better for larger areas ,Horn tweeters are still popular today among builders and Makers.

The tweeters are very good ,i experimented to use them as supertweeters ,meaning that since the go up to 40,000 Hz (Humans cant hear above 20,000 hz at age 20!!) I made crossover to start playing over 10,000 hz ,with modern speakers or speakers with premium tweeters you don't hear much difference,( besides these are to improve specific frequencies at specific regions of sound ,for example violin strings) but in older speakers like my old JBL 4311 studio monitors who were up to 16000 hz ,you can spot a hearing difference in specific tracks but after listening a while .The thing is these tweeters like that cost maybe up to thousands and there were 2 companies that came out with these little sealed min tweeters that were like 100 euros per pair and about 40 euros to build the crossover (parts) and they are worth experimenting.

Never had that amount of time for hobbies so building things. My hobbie drawers Will soon be empty if i go on building this way!!
