@Yoda I like my builds new and with the ages of wearing it to come vintage
@earloflondon
I wish I could handle a 618 but the hands are only available for eta 6497/8 so I choose this beauty one of kind eta 6498

I thought it was an angelus at first sight, can you believe that

Then I realized it was something else. Is it really a 6497? What a nice movement it is. Wear it in good health. We'd like to see a wrist shot too

it is a 6498-1 with a 3/4 bridge, hand engraved balance cock made by Jochen Benzinger. I got it since 6years if I remember well. Indeed it is a beauty.
wrist shot will come soon, still have to fit the stem of the movement
Perhaps you can soon enough move to the famous German Watch makers in Glashütte!

Good idea!
Question: Have you considered adding supports like this item has?
Actually I have to add some holes and perhaps supports so I can work on the dial side of the main plate.
Alou i have 1 word.... quarantine
I will probably make one for the 6497 once I get this one figured out.

if you share the drawings/blueprints, I can design one in 3D and then try it

Found something that would fit my girlfriend's wrist to mod or not to mod ? What do you guys think

I would leave it as it is.
If you decide otherwise and given that the watch looks pretty old, make sure, that the dial and hands do not contain Radium.
