Hm, that could be a couple of reasons as far as I know. I am sure that some of the seasoned watchmakers would chime in and explain the complexity of the problem.
When I dismantled the Molly I saw the bent axis of the anchor wheel.

Ah, the escape wheel! It looks unhealthy to me...Sometimes I wonder how some of these damages occur...beats me.
