Jewel press with a micrometer is the easiest way to go.
Yup... It's not a problem to take them out but to fit them back at exactly the same height... That's why press with micrometer is a great tool.

I wish I did. Because it would be nice to reproduce. But my method is just to do a bunch of stuff to dials and see what happens. Never write down what I do

Either it turns out nice or I start over again.
